How and why does the mind allow us to form superstitions? And what truly is a superstition? Some of us believe fervently in them, and some of us attend to them just in case (and don't call them superstitions!). Some of us carry a lucky rabbit's foot around, some of us cross the street to avoid a black cat, and some of us pray.
